This picture is one from my recent trip to India. While travelling along a rural road on a day of monsoon rain, we found this beautiful pond of waterlilies, all covered with lily pads, each one holding a few shiny drops of water. An wide angle lens (17-28mm) captured the view, including the sky (which was later darkened a bit by image editing). A polarizer filter was used to stop the reflections from the water surface.

Photographers often talk about the importance composing a picture properly. In this case, you can crop the image in many different ways to alter the composition. Make it extreme vertical (like a bookmark), horizontal, crop tightly on the original image, turn it into a panoramic view, or put it into square format, and (surprizingly?) each time you come up with a nice and pleasing composition.
