We are at the main entrance of the Amer Palace in the city of Jaipur. Actually it is a large complex of palaces, halls, pavilions, gardens and temples. The picture below is the "Sish Mahal" (hall of mirrors) of the Amer Palace, where the whole area, walls and ceilings are decorated with mirrors of all size, shape and curvatures.

This one is a very strikingly designed monument in Japipur, called Hawa Mahal. It is a multiniched five-story building built for the palace women for watching the royal processions passing through the main road below. Last month this picture was on display at the Seattle Art Museum.
