Red Hot.

This picture is from a trip to Rajasthan, a state in the northwest region of India. A large part of that state is desert land covered with sand dunes and thorny bushes. We were driving westwards from the city of Jodhpur heading towards the desert, and happened to find this chili processing field on the way.

It is a terrain of very fine brown-yellow sand, almost like dust. And covering the sand over a huge area, nearly as far as you can see, are the red chilies. In the vastness of that red, the people who are there look almost insignificant.

The picture above was taken uaing a 17-28mm wide-angle zoom lens. Later I got the shot below with a 200mm telephoto.
