Welcome ! My "Weekly Photo" page is in its second week. Here is this weeks photo (You can click on the photo to see a larger image in a pop-up window); View of a placid moonlit night. Or is it ? I took this picture during a trip to the NASA Wallops Island Facility some years ago. It is a thinly populated lowland area, with large streatches of shallow water between lands. This shot was taken about half-an-hour before the sunset. Yes, that is the sun in the sky, not a full moon. A blue filter did the trick. The picture was deliberately underexposed a bit to give it the "night" effect. In the next shot I put an orange filter, and the whole scene is transformed back to a beautiful sunset. Nowadays you can even do these things in your computer using an image editing software. The phrase "Photographic Evidence" does not make much sense any more, does it ?
