Wish you a very happy and prosperous new year 2004. The picture above was taken on a winter day like this in the first week of January. Well, actually it was Summer (austral). I was at the McMurdo Station in Antarctica with a research team. We used to see the seals all the time sunbathing at a distance on the ice. This wedell seal was about 150-200 ft from us when I took this picture with a 500mm mirror lens coupled with a 2X teleconverter. |
