At the High Key

High Key is a special kind of artistic style in photography, which can be mistaken for a gross overexposure at the first sight. The characteristics of high key is the predominance of very light tones and almost total absence of strong dark tones. Yet, the highlight details of the image are not lost, which gives a pleasant effect with a feeling of softness, as in this picture of the crying baby.
