This page is dedicated to the memory of my mother, who passed away recently, leaving us with a lot of loving memories. Last month our family got together to pay tribute to her through a solemn memorial service in Kolkata, India. This is a candid picture taken after the event - my ailing father, with his cataract infected feeble vision, looking at the pictures of my mother that were displayed on the wall. Their 50th wedding anniversary was celebrated just last year. Below is a portrait of my mother, taken couple of years ago. The smile shows her spirit, that she didn't lose to severe heart condition, serious respiratory problems, and a stroke that took away her speech and left her partially paralyzed till death.
