Droplets on Cobweb

It was a foggy morning after a night of light rain. Looking at the weather I decided to go to the arboretum which is a lowland area by the lake just ten minutes drive away. My plan was to take pictures of the trees in the fog; but I got rewarded with somethng unexpected.

There is a trail that leads to the arboretum, and where it starts there is a deck on the water. In between each railings of that deck there are cobwebs, which you would barely notice at other times. That morning they were very noticablet hough, loaded with tiny beads of water droplets formed by condensation of supersaturated atmospheric moisture. Here are some pictures of those.

The webs are only a few inches across, to give you a feeling of the scale of this images. These are macro shots, and the depth of field was rather narrow. The most challange was to maintain focus on the webs that were constantly moving back and forth even in the slightest breeze.
